W ith our 20 years experience in running holistic centres in the UK and Portugal we are offering you a vibrant, well-held space where you can teach in great harmony, unfolding your creativity in an open, safe and sacred environment.
Here in Gravito we have been preparing the way for transformation
We believe one’s environment can inspire the heart and be an ally in the process of finding our true nature within. Gravito is a partially restored hamlet set in its own valley with a gorgeous river running through it. Here we are surrounded by oaks, alders, hawthorns, wild cherry, pines and eucalyptus trees and the hills are covered with heather, gorse and a multitude of wild flowers and plants. The River Pera winds through the valley offering some idyllic swimming spots. We are off-grid, producing our own electricity and hot water, we drink from our beautiful spring and use the water from the river. We produce our own organic vegetables and we work with bees. We are a non-profit organisation which promotes reforestation of native trees and conscious awareness.
The gardens have been designed in a way that will enhance your practice and enjoyment. We have two practice places, a very large geodesic dome (78m²) with an elevated wooden floor, and an organically shaped outdoor wooden platform shaded under the trees (150m²). There are numerous magical spots on the land like our root circle, meditation garden and vast clear skies to marvel at the milky way.
The accommodation for our guests is in comfortable geodesic domes with stone floors, tipis and bell tents. Each dome has lovely views, is set on an individual terrace and is usually shared between 4 guests. The teacher is offered a private bedroom annexed to the main house. The guest bathroom has 3 showers and a veranda overlooking the permaculture garden and there is a spiral compost toilet with a view. We can host up to 25 guests. Gravito is in Central Portugal and is accessible from both Lisbon and Porto airports, and we can help you to organise airport transfers.

The restored barn has an open kitchen/bar, a dining room with an open fire and adjoins an outdoor dining area. We recommend a vegetarian/vegan cooking with an emphasis on balance and restorative health, allowing catering for special diets. Organic/bio-dynamic fresh produce comes from our land or is sourced locally, whilst other items are ordered through a local co-operative via Suma in England.
We can also help to organise local trips to nearby lakes and waterfalls, canoeing and treks. You can walk to our neighbouring village (Gravito is situated on a walking trail) where there is a lush river-beach, cafes and restaurants.
